President Barack Obama, in his tenth month in office, was chosen this morning as the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.And just think. Last weekend George Dumbya Bush won a pie-eating contest.
The one-liner from the committee - it goes to Obama "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."
Isn't it amazing how Chimpy McFlightsuit huffed and puffed and strutted around saying “bring em on” and all he got was the wrath of the world against him and the United States. Then along comes an adult willing to turn the other cheek and listen to another point of view on the world stage and he gets the Nobel 8 months into his first administration.
Any of the naysayers on our side who complain that they haven’t seen any change they can believe in ought to start believing in this change right now. Peace. What a non-Republican concept.
